Grant Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE AND THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. This is a Notice of Intent to award a cooperative agreement between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and Wildlife For Everyone Endowment Foundation (WFEEF) for the purpose of utilizing outstanding ecological restoration funds from the Jacks Creek Superfund Site and Keystone Sanitation Landfill Superfund Site natural resource damage assessment settlement. The proposed restoration work will utilize natural channel design restoration principles to improve the streams dimension, pattern, and profile that will increase stream bank stability, reduce erosion, improve floodplain connectivity, and increase the available in-stream habitat. The project reach is contained on three adjacent properties that are reserved in perpetual conservation easement by the United States and are being managed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
