Grant Description
Objectives of SGI SWAT 2.0 will include: ___Maintaining specialized human skill sets at critical geographic ___pinch points___ to secure SGI benefits. ___Maintaining science capacity to better focus SGI implementation, assess biological outcomes, and continually improve program delivery. ___Maintaining and enhancing outreach and communication strategies to increase partner buy-in and SGI participation from landowners. ___Expanding the SGI partnership to further leverage NRCS contributions resulting in increased outcomes and participation. ___Increasing the understanding and promoting the benefits of sage grouse conservation to the sagebrush steppe ecosystem and sagebrush obligate species. ___Fully deploying the SGI SWAT model to conservation of the sagebrush steppe ecosystem.
