Grant Description
The tasks to be performed under this agreement are as follows: 1.The primary goal is to develop long-term protocols that inform Quivira NWR species-habitat objectives and associated management decision-making. This award would support multiple years of investigations required to develop long-term protocols that are applicable to management, and that can be reasonably accomplished given Refuge capacity limitations. 2.Reptile and amphibian surveys will be designed, protocols written, surveys conducted, results analyzed, and survey effectiveness evaluated towards accomplishment of goal 1 (above). 3.Bird surveys will be designed, protocols written, surveys conducted, results analyzed, and survey effectiveness evaluated towards accomplishment of goal 1 (above). 4.Other wildlife surveys (e.g., small mammal) may be conducted towards accomplishment of goal 1. 5.Habitat surveys will be designed, protocols written, surveys conducted, results analyzed, and survey effectiveness evaluated towards accomplishment of goal 1 (above).6.Habitat and wildlife survey data will be linked to inform Quivira NWR species-habitat objectives and associated management decision-making.
