Grant Description
The University of California, Los Angeles, in collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), has been developing a framework to complete a basic metapopulation viability analysis (MVA) for the endangered tidewater goby (Eucyclogobius newberryi). The recovery criterion for the goby states that an MVA based on scientifically credible monitoring over a 10-year period must indicate that each of the six Recovery Units have a 75 percent or better chance of persistence for a minimum of 100 years for downlisting. We have outlined the following tasks to complete a basic MVA for the tidewater goby to assess this recovery criterion. Objective is to complete a basic metapopulation viability analysis for the endangered tidewater goby (Eucyclogobius newberryi)
