Grant Description

The Cleveland Metropolitan Park District (recipient) acquired property, now known as Acacia Reservation, in 2012 in Lyndhurst, Ohio that was formerly managed as a golf course. The Acacia Reservation Stream Restoration project will restore in-stream, floodplain, and buffer habitat in headwaters of two Euclid Creek tributaries and along Euclid Creek at the Acacia Reservation property, within the Cuyahoga River AOC. The activities to be carried out will take place under the authority of the recipient, whereas the recipient owns the property and has jurisdictional authority to implement the activities funded. Through this announcement there will be one discretionary single source award made to Cleveland Metropolitan Park District without competition under justification 505DM 2.14B(4). Competition for the award is not practical as the applicant is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based on location; property ownership; voluntary support capacity; cost-sharing ability; and technical expertise. Financial assistance will be provided as a grant award.
