This award is made under the authority of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, 16 U.S.C. 1531 et. seq, as amended. The primary experience and duties of the WRS will include technical expertise and experience in stream and watershed assessment, restoration, planning, analysis, and project management; developing and implementing on the ground stream and river restoration technical design plans using natural channel design and similar state of the art restoration techniques; developing regional curve information for stream geomorphology and stream bank erosion; assisting with the design of stream crossing replacements; assessing watershed features affecting stream water quality quantity and ecological status; geomorphic assessments of stream channels to evaluate impacts of watershed urbanization; and data analysis and reporting. The work area for the WRS includes all watersheds contained or originating within the USFS Mark Twain National Forest, including the Current, Gasconade, Meramec, and Upper Fork White river basins, as well as other TNC priority watersheds located throughout Missouri.
