Grant Description
The objective of this project is to develop a base-line assessment and subsequently a long-term monitoring program of wetlands within fee-title lands in the NE MT WMD. Characterization will include the Level 2 Rapid Assessment developed by the Montana Natural Heritage Program (MTNHP), as well as water quality and aquatic macroinvertebrate sampling. Due to unforeseen difficulties hiring summer seasonal technicians, USFWS staff will not be able to complete the work within the proposed time frame without assistance.
