Grant Description
The Association of Retired Fish and Wildlife Employees (Association) is in the unique position of being able to contribute to preserving the Service heritage and efforts to collect oral histories from conservationists past and present. The Association also has the capability to assist the active Service in mentoring efforts encouraging the Next Generation of conservation professionals as well as mentoring young leaders already in the Service. The Association will meet the goals of connecting employees, interns and volunteers across generations and encouraging stewardship not only of our natural resources but also our cultural resources. This agreement addresses the Association's efforts in preserving and contributing to the oral heritage of the Service as well as efforts to cultivate long term mentoring relationships among former and current employees.
