Grant Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD: This funding announcement is not a request for applications or proposals. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National park Service's intention to fund The Center for Shared Solutions and Technology Partnerships, Department of Technology, Management and Budget, in the state of Michigan. The purpose of the project is to assist the State of Michigan, Leelanau and Benzie counties in capturing aerial photography. The project will provide the state, counties and the National Park Service with geospatial data to support transportation networks, emergency services, community development, agriculture, environmental and natural resource management. These data will be available on-line through publicly accessible map services. The National Park Service involvement provides a mutual benefit by pooling resources in support of accomplishing mutual goals. The National Park Service's involvement is necessary in order to provide the logistical support to carry out ground-based operations in support of the geospatial image capture. The National Park Service will also provide input into the timing for this project, based on specific phenology requirements.
