This is a "Notice of Intent" of a single source task agreement award to Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI under the Great Lakes Northern Forest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU). This task provides the next logical step in an ongoing project that takes advantage of unique skills, contacts, experience, and resources available to the principal investigator, including access to important economic data at little or no cost that others would have to pay substantial amounts for. Therefore, it would be completely cost ineffective to move this project elsewhere. This PI at Michigan State University, has excellent professional and institutional capability and experience to provide all of the skills needed to perform the scope of work. The PI's current research specializes in visitor spending and economic impacts of recreation and tourism.
