Grant Description
Supporting Transitional Justice in Yemen (approximately $375,000 available): DRL seeks proposals to support local reconciliation processes in Yemen. Projects should be community-based and explore the intersections between informal, traditional, and formal justice mechanisms. Although small in scale, successful applications will detail how activities can be adaptable and scalable in other communities in Yemen. Activities should work to raise awareness of national level transitional justice efforts and link with political transition and National Dialogue transitional justice priorities and mechanisms, where appropriate. Successful applications will detail and explain the target communities proposed for the project and are encouraged to explore opportunities in southern Yemen. Partnership with local organizations is strongly encouraged. Programs should provide capacity building, coaching, networking, and other support to partner Yemeni CSOs, where appropriate.
