Grant Description

The U.S. Embassy San Salvador, Public Affairs Section, is seeking proposals for projects throughout the fiscal year (beginning October 1, 2015) that strengthen educational exchange; improve the teaching and learning of the English language; support the rule of law; professionalize the media; promote freedom of expression; reduce violence; empower women and youth; promote social inclusion and tolerance of underserved communities, such as LGBTI, disabled persons and minority ethnic groups; and encourage entrepreneurship, economic growth and sustainable environmental practices. Eligibility is limited to organizations that qualify to receive U.S. grants, and have the ability to develop and implement projects in El Salvador. The applicants should have demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following subject areas: people-to-people exchanges, cultural or academic programming, international cooperation, and institution-to-institution partnership.
