Grant Description
Opportunity for a cost sharing cooperative agreement to establish a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) to provide procurement technical assistance to Kentucky businesses. The Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP), which is administered by Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), was established by section 1241 of the Department of Defense (DoD) Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1985 (Public Law 98п 525) in an effort to expand the number of businesses capable of participating in Government contracts. Under the PTAP, DLA provides financial assistance to Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) that serve as a resource for businesses to obtain information and training related to contracting opportunities with DoD, other Federal agencies, and State and local governments. Refer to the Section I of Solicitation for Cooperative Agreement Applications (SCAA) number DLA-20130412 for a complete program introduction. The SCAA is available at http://www.dla.mil/SmallBusiness/Documents/SCAA2013.pdf
