Grant Description
CSEPP is funded under the chemical demilitarization program, a major defense acquisition program executed by the Army. CSEPP augments the Armyмs Chemical Materials Activity (CMA), whose mission is to safely store the stockpile by ensuring maximum protection to its workers, the public, and the environment. The Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA [ALT]) Joint Program Executive Office└Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD) is responsible for overseeing CSEPP execution. CSEPP resides within the Technological Hazards Division (THD) of the National Preparedness Directorate of FEMA. FEMAмs role is executed through a national office at FEMA Headquarters and the FEMA regional program offices where chemical installations are located.
