Grant Description
The purpose of this program is to provide financial and programmatic assistance to a non-governmental, faith-based, or community-based organization working in the area of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services in South Africa. A particular focus of this program announcement is to support the United States Government (USG) and the South African Government in the expansion and strengthening of HIV and AIDS-related activities under the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief in South Africa. All activities being implemented under this program announcement should be in line with South African department of health policies, guidelines and protocols. The recipient (grantee) will work in collaboration with provincial and national departments of health, the USG PEPFAR task force and CDC-South Africa to provide technical assistance to strengthen the delivery and increase the uptake of youth-friendly prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) services.
