Grant Description

CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a program announcement entitled, “Provision of HIV/AIDS and TB related laboratory support and technical assistance services in the Kingdom of Swaziland under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).” Approximately $400,000 will be available to fund approximately one award. The purpose of the program is to is to provide technical assistance and support to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) in Swaziland, in particular the National Clinical Laboratory Services, to assure 1) the development of a country-wide laboratory quality assurance and quality management system and 2) the enhancement and improvement of existing and introduction of new diagnostic procedures and practices.
