For the purpose of this announcement eligibility is further limited to National Healthcare Provider Organizations: •Healthcare Provider Organizations are to be defined as one whose primary constituency are healthcare providers (i.e. physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and medical assistants). •National is defined as having an active membership of at least 1,500 and chapters in at least 10 states.

Grant Description

CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Increasing Immunization Rates through Healthcare Provider Partnerships”. Approximately $700,000 will be available in fiscal year 2009 to fund four awards. The purpose of the program is to develop and implement innovative programs for healthcare providers to change their knowledge, attitudes and beliefs about immunization in order to improve immunization coverage.
