Grant Description
The purpose of this program is to support PEPFARуs informatics activities in developing and supporting health information systems in the Republic of Uganda. This program is to build the capacity of organizations to operate optimally and to promote health systems strengthening by developing and implementing systems and strategies that are in alignment with the Ministry of Health and can help reduce and/or eliminate the burden of parallel systems. This will be accomplished by providing financial assistance via cooperative agreement(s) to non-governmental organizations to provide (1) database development and (2) technical assistance to implementing partners and the Ministry of Health in Uganda. Services developed and delivered under this program will be provided in the following two main categories: Category A: Database Development п Strengthening National Surveillance programs Category B: Technical Assistance п Strengthening Organizational Capacity to use and manage surveillance data.
