Grant Description
Funding is available through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) California Landscape Conservation Cooperative (CA LCC) to complete work as identified in CA LCC 2011 program priorities. Specifically, the University of California, Riverside, will integrate fire risk models, species distribution models and population models with scenarios of future climate to project potential impacts to threatened species in fire-prone ecosystems. The USFWS intends to award University of California, Riverside a single source agreement because of the unique qualifications of the staff with the technical expertise to conduct this analysis. The anticipated project start date will be August 2011 with an expected completion date of December 2012.
