Eligibility Categories
Eligible applicants are limited to those institutions, organizations or individuals with a background in fishery biology. Eligible applicants should possess experience and qualifications in surgically implanting acoustic receivers in fish; collecting acoustic telemetry data; CFTC data management and reporting; applying for ESA section 10 permits and/or obtaining applicable scientific collecting permits from the California Department of Fish and Game, and work experience in monitoring fish in streams and rivers of California. Applications from federal agencies or employees of federal agencies cannot be considered.

Grant Description
Funding is available through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Anadromous Fish Restoration Program for monitoring movement of age 1+ steelhead downstream migrants from the Stanislaus River (Stanislaus County), California. Anticipated project start date would be in Fiscal Year 2011. Work may commence as early as January 1, 2011 with an expected completion date of September 30, 2011.
