Grant Description
The Abyei Civil Society Strengthening Pilot Program is designed to make initial efforts at reinvigorating civil society in both Misseriya and Ngok Dinka communities so they may be positive agents for change and help fill the vacuum in lieu of formal joint administration. This project will focus on seeking out existing of former elements of organized civil society, and helping these elements to reestablish themselves as organized groups. It will thus provide for both initial research and relationship building; support for logistics, facilitating meetings, and developing goals and action plans; and capacity building for civil society elements.
