Grant Description
Objectives include: Implementation, and deployment of a web-enabled GIS-based scenario tool that integrates ecological, socioeconomic, and quality of life values to assess/evaluate the impact of land use and development scenarios on South Florida’s ecosystem functions will use of quality-of-life indicators to evaluate community values responsive to land use changes, and allow the public to make decisions that will benefit both environmental, social and other dimensions. (e.g. land use planners, emergency managers, developers, and environmental groups). This phase will build on current and develop future collaborations with local and related data collections, indicator conceptualization and modeling research activities that can inform this project.
